Mark Abrahamson
Interim Director, Plant Protection Division, Minnesota Department of Agriculture
Mark has worked at the Minnesota Department of Agriculture (MDA) since 1999 as an entomologist, supervisor and now interim director of the Plant Protection Division.
Much of his career at the MDA concentrated on invasive insects, in particular the emerald ash borer. Invasive species like the emerald ash borer are an important part of the Plant Protection Division’s mission and touch many of our program areas. Abrahamson holds a B.S. degree in biology from the University of Wisconsin at Eau Claire and a M.S. degree in entomology from the State University of New York at Syracuse.
